About our Interest Groups

  • 25+ interest groups (see list below) are one of the Key drivers of our u3a.
  • They operate and thrive by self-help, shared learning, participation and cooperation of members.
  • You can start a new group, if we don't have the group that you are interested in.
  • Some of our groups are full and others have places available. Always check with Interest Groups Coordinator or the relevant Group Leaders of the groups you want to join. 
  • Some groups may involve a small running/participation cost e.g. venue hire. Always check with the relevant Group Leader.

  • Art and Crafts Group
    Status: Active
    On Friday afternoons 2:00 pm-4:30 pm
    1st and 3rd Fridays of the month; At Oakmere; Contact Dena Glass, Group Leader for more information. Changes to meeting days are planned from April 2026

Attention group leaders

  • Read Our u3a Group Leaders guide, Group Financial Guidelines (to be inserted), and Risk Assessment (RA) Guidance (to be inserted).
  • Group leaders should undertake suitable and sufficient RAs based on hazards and risks involved when running group activities.
  • Instructions for members of a group should be provided by the Group Leader.
