About our Interest Groups
25+ interest groups, (see list below), are one of the Key drivers of our u3a.
They operate and thrive by self-help, shared learning, participation and cooperation of members.
You can start a new group, if we don't have the group that you are interested in.
Some of our groups are full and others have places available. Always check with Interest Groups Coordinator or the relevant Group Leaders of the groups you want to join.
Some groups may involve a small running/participation cost e.g. venue hire. Always check with the relevant Group Leader.
Joining our Interest Groups
You must be a member of Wilmslow u3a before joining a Group.

Book Group 1 Status: Waiting list On Monday mornings 11:00 am 2nd Monday of the month, normally at the Group Leader's House.
Book Group 2 Status: Waiting list On Wednesday afternoons 2nd Wednesday of the month; At one of the homes of members', check time with Group Leader
Book Group online Status: Active Check times and online connection details with the Convenor
Bowling Group 1 Status: Full Weekly on Friday afternoons 12:30 pm-4:30 pm Meeting times vary according to the time of year, so does the venue - Alderley Edge Park (summer), Festival Hall, Alderley Edge (winter)
Bowling Group 2 Status: Active On Tuesdays 2:00 pm-4:00 pm This group operates on seasonal basis - April to September
Coffee Morning Status: Active On Tuesday mornings 10:15 am-11:30 am 3rd Tuesday of the month
Croquet Status: Active Weekly on Monday afternoons 2:00 pm-4:00 pm
Cycling Status: Active Weekly Tuesdays and Thursdays, two to three rides to choose from
French Conversation Group 1 Status: Active Fortnightly on Wednesdays Meet at the Group Leader's home in Wilmslow. Contact Convenor for further details.
Gardening Group Status: Active Meets on various days at various venues. Joint Group Leaders - Judy Van Langenberg, Jean McGregor and Tress Atwell
Have Your Say Status: Active On Wednesdays 1st Wednesday of every month. Meeting time 10am to 12Noon. Contact Group Leader
Pickleball Status: Waiting list Weekly on Thursdays
Rummikub Status: Active Twice-monthly on Tuesday afternoons 2:30 pm-4:30 pm 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month
Science and Technology Status: Active On Tuesday afternoons 2:00 pm Meets on: 3rd Tuesday of each month at 2pm @ Wilmslow Library 1st Floor Meeting Room
Scrabble Status: Active Twice-monthly on Monday afternoons 2:00 pm-4:00 pm 1st and 3rd Monday of the month

Stitchers and Knitters Status: Active Monthly on Wednesday afternoons 2:00 pm-4:00 pm 2nd Wednesday of each month
Sunday lunch Status: Full Monthly on Sunday afternoons

Walking easy Status: Active Monthly on Thursdays See Time table or contact Group Leader for time table. Walks in the localities of Wilmslow
Walking Intermediate Status: Active Monthly on Fridays Walks take place on the 2nd Friday of the month. Contact Group Leader for Time Table and other information. All walks are led by volunteers from the membership
Whist and Canasta Status: Active On Thursday afternoons 2:00 pm 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month
