Walks take place on the 2nd Friday of the month. Contact Group Leader for Time Table and other information. All walks are led by volunteers from the membership
Venue: Outdoor venue

  • Walks: We undertake walks of about 6 to 7 miles, uphill and down dale, sometimes on hilly, muddy and stony terrain within an hour or so drive of Wilmslow.
  • Meet on the 2nd Friday of each month. Usually meet at the starting point of the walk, but transport pick-ups are arranged.
  • Organisation: All walks are led by volunteers from the membership. The convener will circulate a calendar on a regular basis requesting members to sign up for vacant months. If no one volunteers there will be no walk.
  • How many members: 40 (approx); Maximum size: No limit, but probably a maximum of 15 on any walk; Waiting list: No.

  • Please remember that each member is responsible for their own safety the leader's role on the day is just to show the route.
  • Food and drink: We generally try and take lunch at a hostelry on the route, sometimes at the end. Occasionally no facilities are available in which case a packed lunch is in order.
  • Footwear: Boots or stout shoes are pretty much mandatory.
